About Lindsay Window Tinting

Lindsay Window Tinting was founded by Phil Lindsay in 1988. Phil built the business from the ground up at the Village Gate in Rochester, earning a reputation for quality work and honest service that kept customers coming back year after year.

In 2015, the shop moved to its current home at 3910 Buffalo Road — a bigger space that let the team take on more work without ever cutting corners on quality.

Then came 2017. New York State added tinted windows to the inspection checklist, and overnight, the phone started ringing for all the wrong reasons. Business took a hit, and after enjoying decades of Rochester winters, Phil decided it was finally time to retire — to Florida. (We're told he's doing just fine. Suspiciously tan, in fact. No sympathy here.)

Bill stepped up, steadied the ship, and kept the doors open. Today, he runs the shop with the same values Phil instilled from day one: do the job right, use the best materials, and treat every customer like a neighbor. We're a LLumar dealer and have been for decades — because it's the film we'd put on our own cars.
